Our Tiramisu contains home brew espresso made with an Italian machine. We also use the best non-treated California milk and cream with a natural low glycemic index sugar that is derived from fruit. Our homemade Tiramisu gelato is made with organic/natural ingredients and contains up to 80% less added sugar than ice cream alternatives and other tiramisu cakes.

A small cup of our homemade Tiramisu Gelato (4oz) contains less than 5 grams of added sugar and only 160 calories. Compared to an ice cream alternative and other Gelato shops, Gelato Love Tiramisu Gelato contains 150 calories less per 100 grams.

The Espresso we use in Tiramisu Homemade Gelato is made with a coffee-making method of Italian origin. A small amount of nearly boiling water is forced under pressure (expressed) through finely-ground coffee beans. Espresso coffee can be made with a wide variety of coffee beans and roast levels. Espresso is generally thicker than coffee brewed by other methods, has a higher concentration of suspended and dissolved solids, and has crema on top (a foam with a creamy consistency).

Espresso has more caffeine per unit volume than most coffee beverages, but because the usual serving size is much smaller, the total caffeine content is less than a mug of standard brewed coffee.
