Meet Ray, our Gelato Maker and GelatoLove Server

While Ray is a California native, his is family originally from Tonga. As a kid he used to go back and forth between the beautiful Pacific Island and Oceanside, where he currently lives. At GelatoLove we feel like the Ocean and Nature itself shaped Ray’s positive attitude and unique way of thinking. We also discovered that he’s passionate about Marine Biology and that’s what he studies at Mira Costa College.

Ray is young, but he has already had many different job experiences: from laborer for construction projects during the pandemic, to young caterer for restaurants, as well as offering customer service at GameStop. Ray shares his time between school, work and his favorite activities: football, surfing, video games and making music.

At GelatoLove Ray immediately absorbed the art of scaling and mixing our fresh ingredients to make all the countless flavors we offer at GelatoLove. Ray’s eclectic personality can also be enjoyed at the store, where anybody can meet him serving the homemade gelato he previously prepared.

GelatoLove can be found in a number of beautiful grocery stores, marketplaces, and artisan shops around San Diego County.

From the outstanding Cafe Market Homestead in Solana Beach, to the luxurious Cardiff Seaside Market , Baker & Olive and Aviara Farms Open Air Market in North County, you now may find fresh, authentic homemade gelato near you in San Diego.

If you want your GelatoLove in amazing restaurants in North County, try renowned Campfire in Carlsbad or the delicious Privateer Market and Pizza in Oceanside. You may also sip your coffee with a taste of gelato or have lunch at Baba Coffee in Carlsbad or Fresh Healthy Cafe in San Marcos. Pizza and Gelato for your part? Recently, we have partnered with CaliFino, a Carlsbad tequila company, to produce a variety of tequila infused gelato flavors, soon you’ll be able to find them in Restaurants and Selected Stores.

Inspired by Italian tradition with California style, our homemade gelato is made from all natural/organic ingredients and is significantly healthier than regular gelato or ice cream, without compromising taste or quality.
